Super Foods Better than Fad Diets

The U.S. author of the book "SuperFoods HealthStyle," says to forget fad diets and eat super foods -- foods that give a nutritional wallop.

Dr. Steven Pratt says, unlike fad diets that are typically short-lived, eating super foods can lead to lasting health benefits and healthy weight management.

His list of nutrient-rich, health-boosting super foods includes: apples, cinnamon, kiwi fruit, herbs and spices, honey, dark chocolate and pomegranates.

Super foods contain an exceptionally high nutrient content, compared to the amount of calories per serving.
