Raspberry Fiber

Raspberries provide healthy fiber to food products. Fiber is a carbohydrate-like substance found only in plants.

Dietary fiber helps maintain a healthy gastrointestinal tract and helps maintain a healthy lifestyle. It can also help maintain healthy cholesterol levels. Even though red raspberries have a very thin skin, they are a good source of fiber and, like all fruits, an integral part of a healthy diet.

The USDA recommended fiber intake is 20 to 35 grams per day. But on average, Americans get only about 15 grams per day.
